First Society Social for 2021-2022!!!

First meeting of the year! We are meeting in Kelvingrove Park for a first, socially distanced, gathering on the first Saturday of the semester. Come and meet the commitee and all the new and returning members!

Hedgehog Friendly Campus Talk

Come and listen to the talk from the UofG Hedgehog Friendly Campus Group! They have worked hard over the last year, securing a Bronze award from the British Hedgehog Preservation Society! They will discuss the importance of hedgehogs, the changes the group has made to campus to make it more hedgehog friendly and how you can get involved!

Scottish Badgers Talk

Thursday Oct 14th, 2021, 6-7pm

Exciting talk coming up from the Greater Glasgow branch of Scottish Badgers! They will talk about the ecology of badgers, the issues they face, the work they do in research and conservation and how you can get involved!

Badgers, a member of the mustelid family, are Britain’s largest land predator! They are nocturnal animals, rarely seen as they spend majority of time in underground setts (burrows) in family groups. If you would like to learn more about this fantastic, yet secretive animal, come along to this talk! The talk will be on zoom and joining details to be confirmed closer to the time.
